Ash Wednesday 2024

As we start the season of Lent, we have two activities to prepare your hearts and minds for the season: Shrove Tuesday and our Ash Wednesday service.

We invited all interested people, and that means you! If you have never visited St John the Divine, this could be an excellent way for you to get to know us and check us out.

Shrove Tuesday (Free Pancakes!!!!)

Join us on February 13 for our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper in Healy Hall from 5:30 pm to around 7 pm.

If you are unfamiliar with this tradition, we have pancakes to celebrate the last day before Lent. This event is open to church members and those who are not but who want to join us for these tasty treats.

We are looking for prep team members, chief cooks, assistant cooks, servers, and clean-up crew members.

Ash Wednesday

Join us on February 14, 2024, for one of our two services of the imposition of ashes. We welcome all interested people; even if you are not a member, join us!

• Noon
  • A contemplative service without music
• 6:00 pm
  • This service will have music and some singing.
  • You can join us in person or watch the live stream.

We are looking for someone to help server/acolyte and for readers for both services.
