Trinity Youth Group
The Youth Group will be meeting at Plymouth Congregational UCC on Sunday evening May 4th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. All youth who are 5th grade through High School are invited, and bring your friends. There will be some fun, some food and lively discussion.
The activity for May will be a “service project” (and good for High School ‘Community Service Credit’) of Adopt-A-Highway on Hwy W. Weather permitting; we’ll meet in the AmericInn parking lot Sunday, May 18th at 5:30 p.m. With a lot of hands and a little hustle, we should be at Adrian’s eating Ice Cream by 7 p.m.! Wear long pants and old shoes (not sandals or flip-flops). Attractive(?) orange vests, garbage bags and rubber gloves will be provided. And you have to be 12 years old or older to do this! Our Rain-Date is Monday, May 19th as we need to get it all cleaned up for ChocolateFest!
In June we’re going fishing in the Fox River for CARP. And you get $1 for every Carp you catch. This is not a fishing derby – it’s to help clean out the Rough Fish. So if you catch a game fish it means catch-and-release. Because you’re only fishing for Carp as a way to help the river environment, no fishing license is required on this day, but you do need to bring your own fishing gear. I wonder if you can get ‘Community Service” credit for fishing? Seems pretty fishy to me… The date, time and place will be announced later. Watch the bulletin and next newsletter for details.
The Youth Group Lock-In, April 18th to 19th had fun, Gummy Bears, put-put golf, brownies, games, snacks, movies at a lot of stuff…but not much sleep. Thanks to all involved.
