The following is offered as a quick-guide (not a set of rules) to the sacramental rites of the church. No such guide can anticipate all circumstances, so if you have concerns or questions, please speak to the Priest Joanne directly.

By Canon Law, all baptized persons, regardless of age or denominational affiliation, are welcome to receive Holy Communion or Holy Eucharist.

The sacramental rites of Reconciliation and Holy Unction are available upon request either at a public service of worship or by appointment.

Holy Baptism is normatively reserved for the four baptismal feasts of the year — The Great Vigil of Easter (or Easter), Pentecost, All Saints, and The Baptism of Our Lord — and the Bishop’s visitation. Prebaptismal preparation is required.

The sacramental rites of Marriage or Holy Union are available upon request. Pre-marriage or union counseling is required. Speak with Priest Joanne if you are interested in marriage.

In the event of impending death, or of death itself, please call the clergy directly, so that the sacramental rites of the church may be offered.

Holy Communion is available for those who are ill or homebound, upon request or on a regular schedule. Lay Eucharistic Visitors exercise this ministry under the day-to-day oversight of the clergy.
