Opportunities for Youth

We offer Journey to Adulthood for our youth, a program for youth beginning at age 11.  This group meets at 10 a.m. on Sundays.

Trinity Youth Group Our Trinity Youth Group is made up of youth (age 11 through high school) from our church and Burlington United Methodist Church. Traditionally, they meet the Sundays of each month, 6 - 7 :30 p.m.  The first Sunday of the month is a more serious conversation.  Currently the youth are exploring healthy and unhealthy relationships.  The third Sunday of the month is for a more fun experience such a sledding or miniature golfing.  We alternate our location so call the church for further details, 763-7482.  Right now Trinity Youth are planning a mission trip for August 2010 to Eagle Butte, SD.  Further information about upcoming events.

Serving in Worship
There are a number of ways in which  youth can be involved in worship ministries including reader, server, and crucifer (the one who carries the cross in procession). Speak with Deacon Nancy for further information and possible training.

Outreach Opportunities
The children and youth of the parish normally participate or lead several outreach projects a year.  They take responsibility for our monthly dinner at Love, Inc. once or twice a year.  They also will raise money or specific items for various organizations in need.  In the recent past they have organized a Heifer Project drive to raise money to purchase animals and crops to help people in poverty around the world become self-sufficient and they have collected school supplies for children in Iraq.
